2014 Lunchtime IEP Learning Series

Michigan Alliance for Families (MAF) is offering a webinar series on Individual Education Program (IEP) topics during April 2014. A webinar is an online presentation you can attend from your home or office. The webinars are free presentations for parents, caregivers, and educators.

MPAS attorney, Mark McWilliams will present Discipline/Suspension/Expulsion-Protections for Students with IEPs at noon on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The webinar will provide an overview of discipline issues students with disabilities often face. Mark will include information on suspension, expulsion, and the manifestation determination review.

April 15, 2014 – Extended School Year (ESY) with Kelly Orginski from MAF - Learn about the ESY as part of the IEP process.

April 22, 2014 – Procedural Safeguards with Kelly Orginski from MAF - Know your rights under Individuals with Disabilities Act
