MPAS attorneys will be at the Don Bosco Hall Community Resource Center to provide free, confidential advice on special education rights to students with disabilities, and their parents, attending Detroit Public Schools, Education Achievement Authority Schools or Detroit charter schools.

Free Special Education Legal Clinic in Flint

Speak with MPAS attorneys and staff at our free weekly legal clinic in Flint on Thursdays from 10 a.m.. to 3 p.m.. No appointment necessary.

The legal clinics will be held at Ennis Center for Children, 129 E. Third St. in Flint.

Free Family Fun Fair

Michigan's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and CS Mott Children's Hospital are offering a Free Family Fun Fair Oct. 6 to

Michigan Supporting and Including Brothers and Sisters (MI SIBS) 2013 Statewide Conference

MI SIBS exists to provide adult siblings of individuals with disabilities with the information, resources and support to advocate with and/or for their brothers and sisters and to promote leadership roles of siblings within the disability community.   The 2013 Statewide Conference is scheduled for October 25 (Welcome Reception, 7-8:30pm) and October 26 (Full-day Conference, 8am-4pm) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Novi.  Registration is $40 per person.  A reduced registration of $20 per person is available for individuals with disabilities or students.

Brain Injury Association of Michigan Annual Conference

Plan to attend the Brain Injury Association of Michigan (BIAMI) Annual Conference September 26-27, 2013. Individuals with brain injuries, families and friends will learn about the latest treatments, therapies and research findings from leading experts in the field. Meet with others in similar situations. Visit Exhibits with ideas to help with daily living. Professionals are invited to attend and network with others in their field.
